Kendrick Lamar broke the internet when he released his latest album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” back in May on the 13th of 2022. He changed the sound of hip-hop with the instrumentals on the album helping bring back that authentic “hip-hop” sound on tracks Like United In Grief.  The Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album had hits like N95 which was one of the hottest rap songs of 2022 and great follow-up singles like Hearts which features Summer Walker & Ghostface Killah. All in all the project was easily one of if not the best hip hop/rap albums of the year.  The album got a lot of love from true hip-hop purists but some were sending mixed reviews as they expected more of that Kendrick Lamar projects like his classic which dropped back on October 2nd of 2012.

According to Sounwave who produced 13 of the 18 projects album Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album Kendrick Lamar has already started to record new music from the follow-up project. This is big news as it confirms that we will be getting another Kendrick Lamar project possibly before the end of 2022. Sounwave told Complex: “We always start, immediately after. Like, we’re starting on the next one now. That’s never going to change, all the way from the Kendrick Lamar EP. The next day, we started on Section.80.”

This is good news for fans who will most likely get that “traditional Kendrick Lamar sound” which probably includes more “commercial” sounding records. We will continue to update the post as more details emerge. Check back soon here to stay updated.
